Tina Evans

Dare to be different and smile about it

Diagnosed with a life limiting condition at 16, Tina ignored the doctors negative description of what the future had in store for a Friedreich’s Ataxia patient, and chose to live everyday as it came.

Expecting not to live beyond her 30s, and unable to vision a future, eventually brought Tina to a bout of depression. Now she looks at this period of her life with gratitude, as it has transformed her life and mindset. Turning toward a healthy lifestyle, which included Naturopathy, Mindfulness and adapted sports, she is reaping the benefits.

Tina’s way of living in the now has brought her to this stage, aged 33, she feels more energetic and positive than ever. Her aim is to inspire others, of all ages, to grab life with both hands - this is certainly what she achieves in her workshops.

Tina will motivate you to take responsibility for making your life count. She will help you believe that your conditions don't limit your life, it's your decisions that do. It only takes one person to change your life; YOU.

– Students feedback from Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn

"Tina is a former pupil of Ysgol Maes y Gwendraeth and I was delighted to invite her back to school recently to talk to year 12 and 13 about her special way of looking at life. Tina's talk was a complete inspiration and her positive attitude to life was something to be admired. The way she faces life’s barriers is absolutely incredible. It was an eye opener to pupils listening and realized that life is something to live and the time to do it is now. Every school should take the opportunity to be in her inspirational company and to listen to Tina’s story."

– Carys Edwards, Head of Drama, Maes y Gwendraeth Secondary School
