Helen's work provides empowering change and wellbeing through Neuroscience and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) helping individuals to upgrade their mental apps to truly serve them and get the best out of brains!
Helen offers Havening training in schools introduces staff to Havening Techniques — a gentle, psychosensory approach that helps children and adults reduce stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm while boosting focus, resilience, and confidence.
Developed by Dr. Ronald Ruden, Havening uses simple, self-applied touch on the hands, arms, or face to generate calming delta brainwaves. Pupils benefit from calmer minds that retain information better, increased self-belief, and greater resilience under exam pressure, improved emotional regulation, reduce overwhelm and replace self-doubt with confidence.
In a two-hour session, educational staff learn the neuroscience behind the method, experience it first-hand, and explore practical uses with either primary or secondary pupils. Already praised by school leaders for its impact, this training empowers staff to support both their own wellbeing and that of their students, fostering a calmer, more resilient learning environment. The National Educational Magazine recently published an article about Helen's Havening work, please read it here havening-dps.pdf
