Bennett Arron is a BAFTA-shortlisted comedian, screenwriter, author, director, TV and Radio presenter and keynote speaker on fraud and mental health.
As a comedian he has supported Ricky Gervais on tour and has performed at all the major clubs in the UK as well as at venues in Hong Kong, Amsterdam, South Africa, Washington DC and Las Vegas.
Bennett has has written and starred in two of his own radio series, and he recently starred in all four series of the Radio 4 Sitcom ALONE.
He was the Guest Speaker at The International Fraud Convention in Italy, The International Congress On Anti-Fraud & Anti-Corruption in Poland and Infosec, Europe. He was also the Opening Keynote Speaker at Auscert in Queensland, Australia
Bennett has appeared as a Fraud Expert on Sky, Channel 4, ITV and the BBC and he recently received an “Unsung Hero Award” for his work in Fraud and Cyber Security. He also wrote the critically acclaimed memoir Heard The One About Identity Theft?
He wrote, presented and directed the critically acclaimed Channel 4 documentary HOW TO STEAL AN IDENTITY in which he sole the identity of the Home Secretary to prove the ease of the crime.
In 2023, following a successful and award-winning run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, he was about to work on a TV project, write a new book and perform at various venues around the world. Then, for the first time ever, he began to suffer from anxiety and depression. His life fell apart. He had to cancel everything and he couldn’t even leave his house.
Two years later and Bennett returned to the Festival with a show based on his experiences. The show played to full houses and received four star reviews.
Bennett now includes this experience in his talks and explains how the negative things in our past can catch up with us at any time and the devastating effects they can have. Bennett also illustrates how we can overcome what life throws at us by talking, sharing and understanding each other, and ourselves, better.
