Nathan Ghann is a profound and inspiring speaker who went from being a student 'at risk' of failure to becoming an Inspirational Academic.
He first started his educational journey having extremely low academic confidence and soon found himself struggling. He eventually was told by his lecturer that he was ‘at risk’ of failing his degree completely. This combined with a host of personal set backs, Nathan decided to take a year out of university. On his return and determined not to fail he decided to teach himself how to learn at the highest level. As a result he was able to achieve a first class degree with joint honours in Economics and Marketing.
Subsequently, he was selected as one of the Top Ten Most Outstanding Graduates in the UK at the House of Lords. Ever since, he has been on a mission to help other students achieve academic success. To date, he has now helped over 2,000 students improve their grades through his specialist talks and workshops delivered across the country.
Committed to lifelong learning, he went on to gain further qualifications and become a lecturer. Recently he has founded The Educate Group, an organisation that exists to help struggling students achieve at University. He now delivers his fascinating and compelling story with students across the country, explaining the study skills techniques needed to achieve academic success through his masterclass session 'Achieve Your Best Grades'.
“I wanted to say thank you for recommending Nathan Ghann to us – what a fantastic evening had by all. Never before have we had a standing ovation, let alone one that was spontaneous by the pupils. Everyone was thoroughly engaged throughout, tears, laughter and deeply reflective moments. The pupils themselves were not afraid to approach him after and ask questions. He’s given our sixth formers a little more drive and direction and a sense of achievability. A thoroughly memorable evening. Thank you once again”– Jenny Oliver, Cleeve Park School
"Nathan is an excellent inspirational speaker;drawing on his experience, discussing issues that are relevant to 17 and 18 year olds and providing inspiration at a time of the year when students may be feeling stressed and pressured. His academic advice and career knowledge/advice was useful and relevant. He clearly knows his stuff and the students left feeling completely motivated and ready for the challenges that lay ahead of them."– Georgette Matthews, Director of Sixth Form, St Mary's CofE School
"I managed to speak to all our Year 12groups after the event and their response was 100% positive, comments including 'far and away then best visiting speaker we have ever had'. I also asked whether they felt that it was worth the approx. £7.50 per student it , and whether they would have paid that themselves to hear Nathan – again a 100% positive response."– Elizabeth College, Charlie Cottam
