With an energetic and fun outlook, Mark believes in creating growth mindsets and success habits to help students and staff build resilience and confidence not only to achieve exam success but to build a life skills foundation for life beyond school.
He recently authored a book, Don't Get Your Neck Tattooed - The Z to A of Life Skills That You Don't Get From Sitting Exams. It's a fun story of a regular teenager called Milo who goes on a journey of self-development, called the Future Toolbox. As he gains new skills, he pops them into his toolbox and stores them for future use.
Mark worked in youth recruitment for 10 years helping over 650 youngsters aged between 16-21 get their first job and start on the career ladder. He then moved into training and delivered employability and life skills qualifications to school leavers to give them the confidence to make their move into the world of work.
Their delivery is engaging and captivating as they share simple life skills that have been learnt from successful people all over the world and can put them into your own Future Toolbox.
The Future Toolbox includes MAD4Study, MAD4Motivation and MAD4Futures.
Mark offers the following:
"Mark has become an imbedded part of our WRL programme in school. His easy nature appeals to the students and they learn by osmosis through his comedic approach to sometimes heavy subjects.
The "loo roll" analogy of life has become part of our history and students refer back to it whenever they see him. Mark's professional approach means that he is equally confident in building up 240 students at the start of a STEM day or quietly working with smaller groups of students in confidence building activities. We always know that when we book Mark he can be trusted to deliver workshops that are motivating and inspirational"
"It is always a pleasure to work with Mark and Jules. Their enthusiasm for motivating and supporting young people to succeed is amazing. I can always rely on them to deliver first class engaging sessions to our students whether it's an assembly or small group work. I particularly like how they are flexible in their approach to putting together group works that fit exactly what the students need. Most importantly they make what they do enjoyable and fun. Our students in years 10 and 11 have benefitted hugely from their input during our enterprise weeks over the years. They are extremely friendly and personable to work with and I thoroughly recommend their services."– Naomi Shaeffer, Careers Manager, Northampton School for Boys
"We have been working with Mark and MAD4Life for the past 10 years in the capacity of support for our Year 10 and 11. Mark has planned and delivered numerous sessions preparing students for exams through the use of his revision techniques and resources. He has also worked with small groups and on a one to one basis.
Mark has also delivered similar sessions to the parents of our students who along with the students regularly comment about how effective the techniques and sessions are and the impact they have had on student learning.
The service provided to the school has been extremely professional and tailored to our needs, and with the enthusiasm Mark brings, I cannot endorse Mark and Mad 4 Life highly enough."
