Aldo Kane is a former Royal Marines Commando and now TV adventurer. Aldo can often be found in some of the world's most hostile and remote locations, either in front of camera or behind it, making sure everyone is safe. Aldo recently became one of the first people ever to row from mainland Europe to mainland South America, a world first. Aldo Kane is a true, real life Indiana Jones!
Aldo has used his unique skill set over the years to develop and understand his full potential. His unique experiences, many of which have never before been seen by anyone, have lead him into the field of personal development. His speciality is using his experiences to "lift the lid" on young people's self limiting beliefs.
Aldo came from a deprived area and school was something that he did not pay any attention to until very recently. When Aldo has finished talking to students, the air is genuinely electric with a renewed excitement about what really is possible for people to achieve.
Aldo touches on limiting beliefs, communication, fear, courage and decision making to name but a few.
"Aldo Kane spoke at Holmewood House yesterday evening and I thought you might like to know that he was excellent and an audience of adults and children in equal number thoroughly enjoyed his talk. It was pitched at the right level, informally delivered and well illustrated. An excellent evening. I will peruse your list again for our on-going lecture programme"– Paul Tweddle, Holmewood House School
"Aldo is by far one of the most engaging and natural public speaker I have ever listened to. Aldo confidently presented to large groups of children about his expedition to the Nyamuragira volcano in Africa. He was able to captivate over 75 children for two hours as he spoke about his career, inspirations, expeditions and the personal qualities that people need to develop in order to succeed in life. He was able to explain, at a child appropriate level, strategies that he had used and developed throughout his life. The children still talk about him and use the strategies he spoke about to help them succeed in their learning. He was well prepared, punctual and easy to communicate with prior to the school visit. I would not hesitate to recommend Aldo as an inspirational and memorable speaker."
– Louise Bish, Head of Year, Rowanfield Junior School
"Aldo Kane came to our school as part of our 'Aspirations' day. He communicated very well with all the children and was able to quickly break down quite abstract ideas of leadership and courage into language they could understand. The activities he lead were very engaging as were the stories of his travels and adventures abroad. Aldo spoke passionately about the importance of self belief and and how the world is out there to be explored but he did it in such a way that, despite his own remarkable exploits, the children could relate what he was talking about. He was very willing to answer questions and the pupils really enjoyed just having the opportunity to find out about him, his life story and what they could learn from it."
– Joe Roberts, Rowanfield Junior School
"Aldo's stories are as full of natural charm and humour as they are of eye-watering tales of daring-do. Hold on tight, you're in for a real treat".
– Belinda Kirk, Founder of Explorers Connect
"Aldo was outstanding. He saw 4 year groups and then completed a workshop with a group of 20 pupils. Pupils were asking questions, thanking him at the end, talking about him today! I am sure that we will have him back next year!"– David Piercy, Vice Principal, Eastwood Academy
