Lee is probably the most experienced school speaker in the UK, and maybe the most engaging!
Motivation, raising aspirations, resilience and study skills is the main work that Lee does these days in schools and colleges. He has been speaking for over 20 years and has been a full time speaker for more than 9 years. Over that time 60% of his work has been delivering his research and down-to-earth motivation in schools and colleges. No fluff, no jargon, just the good stuff that helps young people achieve in school. He delivers his motivational message through his fun multi-media keynote presentation, his follow up workshops and also staff INSET and parents evenings.
Not only is Lee a top-rated speaker but he is a published author too, including his recent book ‘GCSE Study Skills’ with leading education publisher Collins available nationwide.
increasing pressure on students to achieve well at GCSE level, Lee offers real
practical help and advice in helping them to have the right mindset for
success. Lee's talks and workshops are ideal for struggling or 'borderline'
students who need that extra push to get them across the line with the best
grades that they can achieve. He doesn't do "yee-ha" style motivation
that gives them a boost for ten minutes, he is all about the lasting impact.
His style is funny, engaging and based on solid research done for his books
written for teenage students.
For students Lee offers a top-class Motivational keynote presentation and optional follow up workshops to deepen the learning.
For staff INSET/ CPD training, Lee offers 3 options.
1. Motivation - A keynote talk/session on self-motivation and resilience to help staff to deal with the day-to-day stresses of teaching in schools.
2. Behaviour - A session on understanding teenage students. A fun research based session to help school staff understand why high school students do what they do! Lee uses his experience to look at the causes of their behaviour and how we should interact with them to gain the best results. It's not another behaviour management system, it's down-to earth advice from someone who has worked with young people most of his life and also brought up twin teenage girls now at Uni, phew!
3. Presentation Skills - Lee does presentation skills with senior staff to up-skill them in their talks at parents evenings / awards ceremonies and their day-to-day assemblies. Speaking in public isn’t easy for many, Lee helps staff to do it well to enhance their audiences experience.
Every student attending his sessions also get his audio book download for free (worth £9.99 each) plus he also leaves follow up work for staff to deepen the learning further.
His school clients are always very happy, and feel that he gives more than just a talk and they say that he has lasting impact and offers good value for money.
"From the minute Lee started to speak to students in Year 10 they were 100% attentive. An excellent mix of humour, fun and serious guidelines for their future got them interested, listening and actively participating. A number of days later I asked them to list the key points he made and many could still do so! All the staff who were present also commented on the quality and professionalism of Lee’s presentation."– JS, Head of Year 10, Allerton High School
