Cairis Hickey

Catch the conservation or biology bug!

Cairis has worked in conservation and teaching environmental education outdoors for over 10 years and is now working freelance as a science presenter showing her bizarre animals in the Wiggly Wild Show.

Her passion is conservation and the environment - so she has travelled and volunteered in the Amazon to see many of the bugs in their natural environment and has lots of photos of strange animals. She got to follow in the footsteps of her hero, Charles Darwin, in the Galapagos and in North Cyprus has volunteered with baby turtles where she was lucky enough to see them diving.

She has 15 different types of pets as part of the Wiggly Wild Show and is a beekeeper, so can also talk about the care of exotic pets, like lizards, chickens and millipedes. Her talks include the buzz about hives, why we should conserve, wildlife of South America and bugs in your back garden.

She’d love to inspire every girl to love creepy crawlies and mud!
