After starting a family, Namoi decided she wanted to change her career and do something that she was really passionate about. After reading ‘What Colour is Your Parachute?’ three key words sprang to mind – Creative, children and problem-solving.
Being a positive, energetic and outgoing person she retrained as a life coach specialising in children. No-one at the coaching centre where she studied thought it was possible to coach children but 8 years later here she is with a successful business working with children aged 6 years old and above and coaching them on any behavioural and emotional issue that they have.
She works face to face with children and runs workshops for them at home and within schools. She is part of the 3 Counties Radio parenting and families show, she writes for parenting, teenage and women’s magazines and her first book, ‘The Parent's Toolkit’ is out in February 2012.
Naomi is also mentoring other coaches too. She gave herself 5 years to make a business out of coaching. She has made mistakes along the way but she feels incredibly rewarded to be able to work helping others and also showing that a business can be made out of something that has not been done before.
Naomi took on a role of Agony Aunt for Bliss Magazine, a magazine for girls aged 10 and upwards in January 2013.
She has just published her second book, ‘Being Me (And Loving It)' - a collection of 29 real life and relatable stories, activities and discussions that can be used as part of the PSHE programme in schools. She is running workshops using the subjects addressed in the book. They are self-esteem, body image, friendships, peer pressure, bullying, self-acceptance etc. All her workshops are inspiring and empowering.
