As a health specialist, Natasha worked on a landmark report (Tackling Obesity in England, 2001) which was when inspiration struck. Several years later Natasha realised this inspiration and she took a brave move to leave behind a highly successful career to follow her dream. Natasha set up a social enterprise aimed at improving children’s understanding, appreciation for and consumption of fruit and veg and has played her own part in tackling childhood obesity levels.
A mother of two young boys, she describes herself as the ‘Fruit and Veg PR Lady’ but to young children across the South East she is known as the 'Rainbow Fairy' (who makes fruit and veg a little bit magical). She is the founder of a theatre-in-education company who brings a high energy, high impact, musical show/workshop into schools.
Natasha’s show has a phenomenal impact on children and uses professional actors to teach why fruit and veg are good for them. It leaves pupils understanding about nutrition and wanting to eat more than their 5 a day!
Natasha’s hard work and determination throughout life has led her on a fascinating and varied journey. She is passionate about everything she has done along this journey and wants to demonstrate that in order to succeed you need a combination of skills that you can acquire throughout your life (starting at school!). She has all the examples to prove that embracing new learning opportunities can lead you to amazing places you couldn’t have predicted.
“Natasha is extremely passionate about encouraging children to eat healthily. Her passion for getting children to eat colourful food is outstanding. She has great ways for getting children and adults to remember all the healthy facts about food. She speaks in such a way that you can remember all the facts about healthy eating. All Natasha does is about healthy eating. She keeps up to date on recent Government initiatives, she hands out books articles etc that inspire others. Every time I meet with her, I learn something new. A real inspiration.”– Clare Walsh, Headteacher, Mount Carmel Catholic School

"On behalf of Tower Hill Primary School children and staff, I would like to say a big thank you for the fabulous show and the two workshops you ran at school yesterday. The children thoroughly enjoyed the time they spent with you during the assembly and in the workshops and will clearly benefit from everything you shared with them. We hope many other schools will benefit from your amazing assembly and workshops and enjoy the experience as we have. Thanks once again."– J. Fitzpatrick, Tower Hill Primary, Hampshire
