Alan Earl is an online safety expert with over 16 years of experience.
In 2004 during a period working as a police officer on an Internet Child Abuse Team, Alan began engaging with schools through a regional charity. This led to a secondment in 2008 that saw Alan involved in presentations in schools to staff, parents and the wider school community. The presentations and training reached further with his involvement with the UK Safer Internet Centre and an advisory capacity with the Education Board at CEOP (Child Exploitation Online Protection centre) in London.
Alan has now presented at conferences nationally and as far afield as Singapore and Africa. As well as conferences Alan engages with a wide variety of schools from small Primaries through to Universities.
Issues in the online world are complex across all disciplines and ages and Alan has strengthened his knowledge and has produced and piloted training for Police, Social Worker, Foster Carers and other agencies.
