Have the confidence to promote yourself and shout about your success!

Published 9th April 2014 by Rachel Sharpe

Have the confidence to promote yourself and shout about your success!

We provide schools with Careers, Information and Advice & Guidance sessions; ranging from a keynote talk about future life choices to smaller workshops on CVs, interviews and promoting yourself.

With youth unemployment figures at an all-time high it is a very competitive market for young people to have the confidence to go out there and promote themselves.

School Speakers exists as teacher’s value our service and the impact which our speakers have on improving their student’s performance, increasing confidence and raising their aspirations.

We are very proud of the continual feedback schools give us, recent examples are:

Nathan Ghann - “I wanted to say thank you for recommending Nathan Ghann to us – what a fantastic evening had by all. Never before have we had a standing ovation, let alone one that was spontaneous by the pupils. Everyone was thoroughly engaged throughout, tears, laughter and deeply reflective moments. The pupils themselves were not afraid to approach him after and ask questions. He’s given our sixth formers a little more drive and direction and a sense of achievability. A thoroughly memorable evening. Thank you once again”

Ashleigh Porter Exley - "Ashleigh proved to be very warm, funny and entertaining I think it's really appreciated hearing from a youngster who was only two years ahead of them but had a tale to tell. Thanks and kind regards"Peter Crowe, Tibshelf College.

G Ajewole - “I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank School Speakers for sending Mr G. Ajewole to speak to us on Monday morning. He was absolutely fantastic. I have never seen our pupils respond so positively to anyone – they are lovely pupils but they are not always an easy audience! G’s energy, passion, and positivity were positively tangible. As one of my colleagues later said to me: ‘if only we could bottle his enthusiasm for life’. Everyone who came into contact with G on Monday felt uplifted by him – including the school caretaker who went out of his way to find us a short cut to the station! What a guy! He is an absolute credit to your company. Thank you – I’m still buzzing!”Jude Single, Head of Sixth Form, Dover College
