John is passionately committed to ensuring the entitlement of all children and young people to high quality learning experiences, especially in PHSCE from KS1- post16.

Formerly a secondary school senior leader, John spent 12 years at Exeter University, developing a uniquely effective sex and relationships education programme across the UK and overseas.  

John is now an independent trainer & consultant specialising in aspects of PSHE including Careers & Employability.  Recent roles include supporting ‘healthy schools’ and as regional advisor with the PHSE Subject Association and national PHSE CPD programme.
