Over the last 3 years, Simon has recovered from his addiction, becoming a professional teacher and a fully qualified UEFA B Part 1 coach.

He has inspired hundreds of people while working in the welfare industry, and has been a performance coach for both semi-professional and professional football clubs. Simon also wrote and released a book called "Football For Life," which reached number 2 on the Amazon.co.uk book charts in March 2010.
