Kevin Patrick

Kevin Patrick

World’s Youngest Entrepreneur, as awarded, by Barclays when setting up his first business account aged 14. Today he is a serial entrepreneur, inspirational speaker, business advisor and mentor… aged 18 (whilst being a university student).

Kevin Patrick, born 16th May 1993, is a serial entrepreneur behind a growing portfolio of brands held under K Patrick Projects Ltd.

Kevin became enterprising shortly after joining secondary school where he suffered racial bullying. This social pressure catalysed a change in Kevin's attitude, motivating him to start using his lunch money to buy sweets and give them to other children at school to stop them from bullying him. He later realised that this was unsustainable and started to sell them.

After a few months of doing this he had made himself a significant amount of money and realised his entrepreneurial talent aged 11.

Shortly after he stopped selling sweets at school, Kevin joined a project headed by Young Enterprise which resulted in the creation of Capoeira, a clothing branding company. Kevin then took the expertise and experience he gained from this venture and used it to create Team Tops in October 2007.

As a result of founding the company Team Tops, Kevin was awarded 'Barclay’s Youngest Entrepreneur when he opened a business account with them aged 14. In December 2011 Kevin was nominated by BBC Surrey and Sussex as a community hero for all his entrepreneurial commitments. Many of his ventures operate through young people which has been one of his strongest USPs and gives young people the opportunity to think ‘outside the box’.

Today aged 18 Kevin continues to grow his portfolio and positive impact with ventures such as Label Noire and Green Cloth to name but a few of the organisations he has added to his portfolio. He is a student at the University of Surrey, Guildford and is studying International Business Management. He spreads the word of how he converted negative energy into positive and made something out of himself and how young age is an opportunity rather than a barrier in life.

Testimonial

"Mr. Patrick was a particular inspiration to our students, where, at only 18 years of age, he has already commenced his own successful business, as well as completing A-levels on the side! A lot of students felt they could relate to him personally, with one commenting that ‘he really spoke to us… and made us feel like we could achieve too.’" Miss Irwin – Assistant English KS4 Co-ordinator - Collingwood College, Camberley.
