Alex Fakhri
University of Life
Having lived 10 years of his life in Iran, Alex had a different perspective to life than most students. This encouraged him to be an individual and follow his dreams.
Unlike most 16 year olds Alex undertook a full time college course and a full time job where he embarked on the Waitrose management scheme. Allowing him to build on his interpersonal skills and also to learn the art of management. Having worked hard and moved up the management ladder at Waitrose he left to become an employee at Apple and undertook the challenging Enterprise and Entrepreneurship qualification at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.
This really allowed him to bring a vast amount of his skills together and build on his business acumen. Being ambitious meant he was working, studying, running a business and managing a social enterprise group. Alex has gone through a life changing year and has undertaken an amazing challenge and succeeded not only by gaining top grades but also winning the National Brand Ambassador of the year award from Peter Jones and raising around £1500 for charity through his Social Enterprise group.
Having picked up several job offers through the Academy he decided that employment at another company was not for him. He has started his business career and is now a partner at Deekstar, a design and web design company and is well on his way to starting his second business, a Social Enterprise.
Alex's Testimonial
“Alex is an exceptional young man; he is the true advocate for ‘leading by example’. He uses his positivity and motivational transition techniques into driving projects and teams forward. His key strength is his ability to problem solve and explore ethical, economical and effective solutions for business growth and expansion. Due to his hard-work, determination and downright tenacity, he has proved his worth by being awarded the title of Ambassador for the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy (2011). I would highly recommend Alex for any position of authority.”
