Emma Lewis

Young entrepreneur, photographer and empowerment to young people

Emma-Jane is a young entrepreneur who is the owner and founder of her own photography and young people workshop business. These are branded as Emma-Jane Photography and Creative Alchemy.

Emma-Jane is a qualified youth worker, level two counsellor and freelance photographer who links media, imagery and PSHE to shape the work she does with young people.

Having worked in the photographic industry for two years before starting the business she uses these skills to inform young people about the media and photographic industry and empowers the young people to question,” what is perfect?”

This lets Emma deliver workshops and empowerment programmes which allow young people to realise their potential and strive to reach it.

The workshops vary in scope. One example would be to look at stereotypes in the media and draw on Emma’s photography skills to show that the media's portrayal of perfect is imperfect, and that there is more to life than striving to be famous.

Other workshops focus on building self-confidence and motivation in young people where Emma uses her qualifications as a counsellor in specific situations.

Sessions look at: Confidence & Self Esteem development ,Communication, Mood Boards, Change management, Personality Identification, Presentation/Interviewing, Assertiveness, Dealing with challenges, Goal setting, Employability Skills, Creative Outlet work and Expressive Thinking to name but a few.
